Teenagers participate in a community-based service learning experience, exploring various components of servant leadership. Additionally, they serve as captains of their respective teams, applying the skills they have acquired to successfully lead their peers.

M.I.T. (Mentor In Training)

Recent 10:12 Alumni (19+ years old) receive weekly training and game-day opportunities aimed to equip them to be successful mentor coaches in 10:12 and the community.

10:12 employs current/former 10:12 participants to take part in our 5-Week Summer Leadership Academy. Academy participants engage in social/emotional learning, literacy, fitness instruction, boxing, nutrition education, financial literacy, workforce development, and volunteerism.

Academy participants also plan and lead two neighborhood pop-up camps per week for youth (ages 6-13), putting into practice what they are learning while growing as mentors & servant leaders. These camps are called “We Play for 1 Camp.

Youth Sports Clinics

In partnership with Volo Kids, our 10:12 teens gain employment leading weekly sports clinics for children in Sandtown. This program develops leadership skills through mentorship while providing essential recreational activities in a neighborhood lacking an operating recreational center and organized sports opportunities.
